    Zwicker & Associates PC is a national law firm that represents some of the largest creditors in the nation. Growing strong since 1991, Zwicker encompasses a large clientele ranging from major credit cards issuers to student loan collections.

     

    General Summary:

    Zwicker is presently seeking a Legal File Clerk with experience in a fast-paced environment to join the team in our Tennessee office located in Brentwood.

     

    The Legal File Clerk will be responsible for assisting attorneys in preparing accounts for sorting and organizing incoming physical and electronic documents, obtaining required documents, checking services, as well as processing checks.

     

    Responsibilities

     

    • Receive mail and deliveries from Post Office, FedEx, and UPS
    • Manage Incoming/Outgoing Mail and e-mails for office
    • Sort, organize, scan and file documents
    • Manage physical and electronic inventory by preparing files to be archived off-site and updating corresponding spreadsheets or case management software
    • Properly record information, including ensuring account is in correct / accurate status.
    • Answer incoming phone calls and routing calls to the appropriate department or providing the caller with appropriate/additional information as-needed.
    • Request documents from client, as needed (i.e., application/statements).
    • Assist with e-filing and e-service of pleadings for special of large projects
    • Comply with client document processing by use of proprietary software
    • Process and maintain checks in accordance with the Check Accountability Policy.
    • Comply with all applicable standard operating procedures set forth by the office.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Knowledge of Rules of Civil Procedure and Rules of Evidence
    • Previous administrative experience in a law firm or other financial or banking institution
    • Collections and/or litigation experience
