    Zwicker & Associates PC is a national law firm that represents some of the largest creditors in the nation. Growing strong since 1991, Zwicker encompasses a large clientele ranging from major credit cards issuers to student loan collections.

    This position will report directly to the firm’s Vice President of Contested Litigation. The firm is a national law firm that specializes in creditor rights and debt collection litigation. The applicant must have experience in civil litigation and a good working knowledge of court proceedings. The position is one within a team of paralegals which supports the firm’s trial attorneys and clients in all phases of litigation. The firm is located in Andover. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.

    Responsibilities

    Essential Functions                        

    Core function will be to support clients and the firm’s trial attorneys in a variety of litigation-related activities, including processing discovery and witness requests, formatting and maintaining trial calendars and case tracking reports, and daily interfacing with clients and the firm’s nationwide network of trial attorneys.

    Qualifications

    Competencies Preferred              

    • Thorough understanding of civil litigation and procedure;
    • Strong working knowledge of Excel, Outlook, and Windows OS;
    • Demonstrated ability to balance multiple assignments and adhere to strict deadlines;
    • Highly organized and detail-oriented ability to follow client and internal procedures;
    • Excellent client relation skills; and
    • Ability to work independently and collegially alongside attorneys and litigation staff within a fast-paced environment

               

    Physical Qualifications                                                                                                           

    • Be able to lift 5 lbs. or greater
    • Be able to sit 90% of the work day at times                                                                                       
    • Be able to bend at the waist and be mobile when needed                                                            
    • Be able to read and comprehend position-specific documents and correspondence              
    • Be able to communicate in a common language with (or to) individuals or groups verbally and/ or in writing (e.g. applicants, managers, employees)                              
    • Be able to operate a computer, phone and/or equivalent devices                                              
    • Be able to complete a minimum of a 40 hour flexible workweek schedule including overnight and weekends
